OpenForce 202 is an initiative taken up for the students to provide them with the best learning environment and help them gain the principal knowledge about the fastest-growing fields in "Open Source." The event is organized by Codeflow, an organization that serves the ultimate purpose of "Learning must go on", whose main motive is to empower the student community by organizing webinars, hackathons, and open source events.
It provides a contribution period, where the open source organizations in the program will provide OpenForce Specific Issues which participants can resolve; as well as panel mentorship, where mentors from the organizations are available for students for any kind of help or doubts.
SphereEx has been fully supportive and engaged throughout the process by supporting the ShardingSphere community.
On 5 March, Yacine Si Tayeb, Apache contributor & SphereEx Head of International Operations, talked about "A Student's Open Source Handbook: Tips & How to Land Your Dream Job" in the dedicated session.
The Apache ShardingSphere community has created nearly over 100 Github issues at all levels for contributors of all levels to contribute to open source. SphereEx also provides 3 mentors - Trista Pan, SphereEx Co-Founder & CTO, Apache Member & Apache Incubator Mentor and Apache ShardingSphere PMC; Haoran Meng, SphereEx Senior Development Engineer and Apache ShardingSphere PMC; M.V. Thanoshan, Apache ShardingSphere Committer, Google Summer of Code Contributor 2021. The community has been providing timely help to students with all kinds of questions on several platforms.
The event is ongoing, and more issues are expected as the Apache ShardingSphere project appears to be very popular among the students.

FOSS Backstage is dedicated to encouraging more discourse about the non-coding aspects of successful open source projects. It provides a space to discuss a broad spectrum of issues related to community management, vendor neutrality and leading projects without discretionary power.
Conference topics will include open source project leadership best practices, community management, open source project metrics, open source strategy for enterprise, adopting open source collaboration in corporations, legal matters when dealing with open source and many more.
